All Things Must Pass...

Like what George Harrison sang on his similarly titled album, sooner or later, everything will pass.

On Friday, a great musical legend, Johnny Cash passed away. While I'm not too familiar with his musical catalog, there are a few chestnuts and classics that deserve to be heard by all. His tune, "I Fought The Law" has always reminded me of something that the Clash did, predating the punk band a good 20 years. He has attitude and balls. In recent years, his readings of Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus" (featuring Red Hot Chili Pepper's John Frusciante) and Nine Inch Nails' "Hurt" were pretty excellent in their own right.

Rest in peace, the Man in Black.
